Faded - Photo, Filter, and Editing App

Faded was a longterm project that I had worked on for many years. I was the principal designer and worked closely with a team of developers on mobile technologies that would make Faded an all-in-one Camera, Editing and Filter App. I developed over 300 authentic Film-Emulations presets that users could customize to their personal style.

15 million downloads. Top 3 overall in the App Store. Featured on apple.com homepage. Starbucks App of the Week. Top Photo App - Mashable, Guardian.

Branded Mobile App For Mindbody

Mindbody's Branded Mobile App is a customizable solution that enables fitness studios, beauty salons, and wellness centers to offer a convenient, branded platform for their customers to book services, view classes, and access video content. As the lead designer, I worked closely with several developers, a product manager, UX researchers and product marketers to build a product that decreased user time on task by 46%, increased user acquisition by 250+%.

Virtual Wellness Platform For Mindbody

In 2020, the pandemic forced many businesses to close their doors, leading to a surge in demand for fitness and yoga studios to connect and support their customers remotely. To meet this need, Mindbody's Virtual Wellness Platform project was fast-tracked by company leadership, and I was selected as the principal product designer to help deliver our solution to the world quickly and efficiently.

Hosted 2.5M livestream attendees and 3M video on demand views across web based and mobile apps, and increased end consumer satisfaction from 2.7 to 4.7 (out of 5) in 10 months

Salon 2020
For Mindbody

As Mindbody's lead designer for the Salon and Spa project, I adopted Atomic design and styled components to create a fresh look, cohesive design system, and memorable brand. Our agile approach enabled us to quickly iterate on designs and create working prototypes, resulting in a successful product. Additionally, our success with Agile Development led to the adoption of Agile methodologies by other departments within the company.

Camera Noir

For Camera Noir, I led a team of designers and developers to create an iOS app with innovative features for a powerful, simple black and white photo editor. I focused on intuitive interactions and on-screen visuals that kept the photo front and center during editing, enabling users to adjust all color channels. The result was a successful app that surpassed existing market offerings and received highly positive feedback from users.

Commissioned conceptual art and branding for an AI tech company focusing on capital liquidity for emerging startups. Client had a high value for design and needed branding and collateral for initial funding stage and beyond. They wanted a clean and timeless look that nods to the aesthetics of technology and computing during the 1950's - 1960's.

Client was building a sync licensing platform that would showcase his original works as a composer. The music would be licensed for TV and film, so the brand had to reflect a sense of story-telling and sophistication. I designed a full branding package, website, and album art. The branding and visual strategy was built to showcase the composer's unique style, while the website and album art provided a professional platform to showcase their work. Music was licensed to Netflix, History Channel, NOVA, ABC, and NBC.

The Lost Hills, California natives and lifelong friends, began writing music together in 2014. Influenced by 80s & 90s new wave, shoegaze, and R&B, their music is cinematic and trance-inducing with honest stories of love and loss. Their self-titled debut album features music videos that showcase hidden landscapes of their native State, creating a mesmerizing escape.
